Point of Sale

A fast, touch-friendly POS for bar, restaurant, and cabin service. Identify guests by QR scan, build a cart, and post charges to folios.

POS Workflow

The POS is designed for speed in high-turnover environments. A single screen handles guest identification, menu browsing, cart building, and checkout.

1️⃣ Identify the Guest

Tap the QR-scan tab to use the device camera, or switch to manual entry and search by cabin number or last name. The scanner extracts the folio UUID from the QR card and resolves the active guest instantly.

2️⃣ Build the Order

Services are organised by category. Tap items to add them to the cart. Quantity and price are shown in real time. Custom charges can be added for services without a fixed price.

3️⃣ Review & Confirm

The cart shows item names, quantities, and totals. The operator can clear the cart or proceed to checkout. For restaurant mode, a table number is captured before confirmation.

4️⃣ Post to Folio

On confirmation, the transaction is saved and queued for posting to the optional 3rd party PMS. The POS shows the PMS sync status so staff know if posting succeeded.

Operating Modes

The POS can be launched in different modes to match the location and workflow.

Bar Mode

Shows all beverage and bar categories. No table number is required. Optimised for quick single-guest transactions.

Restaurant Mode

Prompts for a table number before checkout. Enables table-based service and kitchen/steward coordination.

All Services

Displays every active service category, allowing a single terminal to handle mixed orders such as bar, restaurant, shop, and cabin service.

Inventory & Stock Control

Each service can be linked to stock. When a sale is confirmed, inventory is decremented automatically.

📦 Stock Tracking

Every service can have a current stock value. Selling one unit reduces the count by one. Zero-stock items can be hidden or flagged at the operator's discretion.

⚠️ Low Stock Alerts

Alerts appear when inventory falls below configurable thresholds. Stock can be adjusted, reset, or imported from CSV in the inventory module.

🔄 Refunds & Voids

Confirmed transactions can be deleted by authorised users. When a transaction is removed, the related stock is restored and the PMS is updated.

📊 Reconciliation

Sales reports show sold quantities, revenue, and remaining stock by category, making end-of-voyage reconciliation straightforward.
