Crew Manifest

Voyage-independent crew records, shore-pass tracking, and gangway logging for the full ship's company.

Crew Profiles & Organization

Crew are stored separately from guests because they stay with the vessel across voyages. Their records include role, department, and contact information needed for operations.

📝 Profile Data

Each crew record stores first name, last name, crew number, department, position, cabin number, and active status. This data drives the manifest, QR cards, and gangway log.

📥 Bulk Import

Crew can be imported from CSV with columns for crew number, name, department, position, and cabin. The import validates duplicates and reports errors row by row.

🏢 Departments

Department and position fields are free-form, allowing each vessel to define its own structure: Deck, Engine, Hotel, Expedition, Medical, and so on.

🚪 Status

Crew can be marked active or inactive. Only active crew appear in the manifest, QR generator, and gangway scanner lookups.

Shore Passes & QR Cards

Crew receive their own QR card format, optimised for shore-leave scanning at the gangway.

Card Format

Crew QR cards show vessel name, crew member name, and cabin. The QR payload is prefixed with SHORE PASS so scanners can distinguish crew from guests and visitors.

Voyage Independent

Because crew are not tied to a voyage, their cards remain valid across multiple sailings. There is no need to re-print cards for every trip.

Print Layout

Crew cards use the same Avery 80×50-R layout as guest cards, so one print run can cover both guest and crew passes.

Gangway Tracking

Every crew movement through the gangway is recorded, giving security a real-time view of who is on board.

📷 Scanning

Crew can scan their shore-pass QR code or be selected manually. The scanner toggles between embark and disembark based on the last recorded movement.

📊 Headcounts

The manifest dashboard shows crew aboard and ashore in real time. This is independent of guest counts, so both numbers are always accurate.

🔄 Bulk Move

During drills or emergencies, all crew can be moved aboard or ashore in a single bulk action, with each individual movement logged separately.

📜 Reports

Gangway logs can be exported to CSV by month or date range for compliance, payroll, or customs reporting.
