Xaxero 2000 on CD-ROM is a significant step forward in consolidating our product line.

We have upgraded our popular weather fax series to the latest compiler technology and it’s execution and processing is significantly improved. In addition the package is bundled with SeaMail Ship and Navigation for Windows allowing the user to have a lot of functionality in a single product.

Over the years our market research has shown that on ocean going vessels, most people have a computer on board for

1. Correspondence (word processing, Email )
2. Weather information (Weather fax and satellite weather )
3. Navigation (Charting and planning)

We feel that the Xaxero CD ROM addresses most of these requirements and allows an easy way for users to update the existing software.

In the past it has been our policy to provide software updates free of charge via the World Wide Web. With the increased file size this will probably turn out to be unpractical and expensive. The solution is to offer the Xaxero CD ROM at a reasonable price to overcome this issue.

Distribution of our product will in future be centred around CD ROM. To support dealers, we are supplying on the same CD ROM a cut down version of the product on disk images allowing the dealer to create a 6 disk set for a functional version of Xaxero 2000. Xaxero will also produce 3.5 disks on a special order basis.

The CD ROM is organised as a Power point presentation displaying an introductory slide show highlighting key features of the product and allowing the user to enter the install program or a HTML document detailing world weather and associated text and pictures.

To run the disk from Windows 95, 98  or NT just place the disk in the CD ROM drive and the software will autoload. If Autoload has been disabled, from the Start button press Run: and type D:/Autorun.bat (Where D:/ is the drive letter of your CD-ROM Drive.
